Before you can start interpreting calls, a Masterword team member will place a test call.
Make sure that your computer has the latest updates by rebooting your computer prior to the test call. To log in to the remote interpreting platform please use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox Browser. To access the platform follow this link https://mw.interpretmanager.com/app/account/sign-in
Step 1
You will receive an email invitation to join the Masterword Interpreting platform and create your profile.

Step 2
Please ensure you understand how to Log in, make yourself “available” on the platform in order to receive calls and how to switch to “unavailable” when you need to log off.

Before you change your profile to “available” please ensure you have the Opening and Closing script in front of you.

- Opening script: thank you for calling, my name is (your name) and I am your (language, for example Spanish) interpreter, ID (number). Please go ahead.
NOTE: Never say thank you for calling Masterword. Always maintain white label since we are back up providers to other language companies.
- Closing script: Thank you for using our service. Is there anything else I can assist you with?
Step 4
During an interpretation session you as the interpreter can make a third-party dial out (conference call) and add an extension if needed.

Masterword has 3 different types of call flows
- Regular call flow: the English Speaker will connect to you as the interpreter and potentially need third-party dial out.
- Intake Form Call: You will receive a call that contains an intake form as a pop-up, the questions on the intake form is required information, you need to collect the information from the client before you begin interpreting. Intake form video tutorial: https://vimeo.com/528398002/99921d6223
- Masterword Connect: You will connect to a Limited English Speaker (LES), a prompt will play stating that you should introduce yourself in the target language, and then you will get connected to an English speaker to help the LES with their needs.
